Woodland Elementary is a Title 1 campus that serves all of the 4th and 5th Grade students in Graham ISD. We offer our students the very best education in all core classes: English Language Arts & Reading (ELAR), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Our other classes include Art & Music, Library, and Physical Education. We also offer a full-featured Computer Lab, Challenge Lab, English as a Second Language Classes/Support, Dyslexia Classes, and Intervention resources. We provide inclusion support for our special education students in the classroom. In addition, our students have the opportunity to participate in UIL academic events & contests and student-led performances.
Woodland Elementary currently enrolls approximately 400 students. Originally constructed in the late ’60s as a neighborhood school, the campus was converted to a grade-level campus in the early ’90s and has served this district very well.
We currently have 18 homeroom classes, with 9 homeroom classes in the 4th grade and 9 homeroom classes in the 5th grade. We are departmentalized in both grades in Math, ELAR (English Language Arts & Reading), and Science/Social Studies. We also have a set of rotation teachers who provide Art & Music, Challenge Lab, Physical Education, Computer Lab, and Library time.
At Woodland Elementary, we strive to provide the most safe and positive atmosphere for learning for all of our students. We work hard to provide meaningful and engaging instruction & learning activities that instruct and challenge all of our students. We want all of our students to be successful, and we sincerely and firmly believe in our Mission Statement... "Learning for all, whatever it takes!"
We are very proud of our campus, students and staff, parents and community, Woodland Elementary, and Graham ISD!!
