This is my 2^nd year at Woodland teaching 4^th grade Reading.  Previously, I taught 8^th grade Reading and Writing at Graham Junior High.  Also, I have taught English I, English III, and AP English at Perrin High School.  I also got my toes wet in theater at Perrin.  I taught a theater class and directed One Act Play.  Before landing my first teaching job, I was a paraprofessional at Pioneer Elementary in PPCD. I spent some time working for the America Read’s program in Wichita Falls as a reading tutor.

I am a proud wife and mother.  God has blessed me with four amazing, rambunctious children.  We have one dog and one cat.  We love going to the drive-in and to Sonic.  My children also enjoy trips to Walmart, but it’s not as joyful for me. 

I enjoy reading books and researching.  I spend a lot of time on Pinterest!  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Some of my GOALS this year:

1.  I will grade papers in a timely manner and have all grades for the week recorded by Sunday.
2. I will make 5 positive parent contacts per week.
3. I will eat lunch with my class at least one time per week.
4. I will create and use proficiency scales.  I will use these scales to assess student progress on a routine basis.
