I started teaching in at Springtown Elementary in Springtown ISD in August 2010. I taught 3rd grade for one year and then 2nd grade for the next three years.
I am happily married to JD Wakefield, a 2001 graduate of Graham High School! JD and I got married on July 31, 2004, 4 months after JD returned from a year-long deployment to Kuwait and Iraq, serving in the US Army. On July 5, 2005, we welcomed Tera Jade to the world! Tera is currently a senior at Graham High School.
JD, Tera, and I have two pets: 2 year old Border Collie/Aussie mix, Ollie, and 10-month old Border Collie/Aussie mix, Gilly! We are a family who loves The Dallas Cowboys, Star Wars, Stranger Things, Harry Potter, and scary movies, among many other things!
In my spare time (which isn’t much), I love to READ! Big surprise! I absolutely love a good suspense-filled mystery. I also enjoy being creative and can be pretty crafty sometimes!
